When inspiration strikes, indulge completely.
There are moments when we feel a deep internal sense of motivation. Using that energy, we devote ourselves to our craft and enter a state of flow. When we harness this state of flow, we are happier, we are more creative and we are more intuitive. Any disruption to this flow feels almost as if we were robbed. Savor every moment of pure, unadulterated inspiration.
The real question is: How do we predictably and compassionately create this for ourselves?
I think the answer is partly this, that inspiration is unpredictable and like lightning, strikes randomly, but precisely. When we are inspired to act or create, it is very specific. We intuitively know exactly what will be done.
The other part of the answer is that there are methods to increase the rate at which inspiration strikes all while showing compassion for ourselves.
I believe it is the combination of creativity and motivation in the right amounts and at the right time, that create this feeling. Creativity and motivation can both be fostered through lifestyle.
Now, how do we augment our existing lifestyle to more regularly feel a deep sense of creativity and motivation? Likely through the skillful consumption of content, authentically connecting with others, respecting our sleep and exercise routines, nurturing our bodies with healthy foods, and siloing of free time for exclusively creative activities.
These activities in turn remove stress and anxiety from our lives. Enabling our subconscious to feed the delicate balance of creativity and motivation. Without generous compassion, our precious inspiration falls victim to stress.
